If you are interested in or are currently raising poultry in Collin County this is the group for you. I started this group because of growing popularity of raising backyard chickens and the distance involved with meeting up with the other DFW area poultry groups. I am looking forward to building awareness of backyard poultry in Collin County and creating a community group to bring us together to share ideas and experiences.

Backyard Chickens are great pets, fun to keep, easy to maintain, and great for kids. They provide fresh/healthy eggs, fertilizer for the lawn/garden, insect control, and hours of entertainment. We advocate cities allowing a backyard hens and responsible chicken ownership. Learn about the benefits of chickens, the proper care for them, and dispel the myths some believe about chickens. Share your tips, flock, coops, and resources with others.
